OK…so we’re unlikely to get a white Christmas any time soon but that’s not stopped kid’s room designer, Diana, coming up with a scheme using creamy winter whites and rich textures for a rustic cabin style, set for snowy adventures.
Weathered, white-washed wood or milky vintage metalics work well for furniture pieces. Nothing too precious is welcome here, the more battered the better…!
Natural cotton and linen fabrics layered in pale tones and paired with chunky knitted throws create a bed fit for any Snow King or Queen, whilst faux fur rugs casually scattered over the floor create comfort for little feet.
Strands of fairy lights imaginatively hung from every vantage point can be adjusted to create a soothing atmosphere or bright party feel…whilst reflecting in aged gilt and subtle glitter finishes.
And a flurry of snowy, polka-dot wall stickers completes the mid-winter scene…
