Halloween inspired kid’s room theme

As the last of your little Halloween ghouls have been scrubbed clean of their monster make-up…and the Haribo sugar rush has slowed to a bedtime tantrum, what better way to keep the season alive with a spooky kid’s room make-over…

Yes, we love a feature wallpaper at Dreams and Wishes, and why not when it’s as stylish as Cole and Son’s ‘trees and stars’…to create a fairy-tale haunted forest feel. Pair this with charcoal grey walls and a scattering of glittery star wall-stickers and the moonlit night effect is complete…!

If natural light is in short supply, a paler coordinating grey may be a more practical choice…and go dark with accessories, such as bedding, cushions and curtains.

A vintage metal cot or bedstead adds a faded glamour, especially when finished in creams and golds…with a complimentary metal mesh, over-sized lampshade that resembles old spider’s webs.

Natural linens are perfect for this theme…diaphanous and slightly crinkled like ghostly apparitions.

Display monochrome toys and accessories on black shelves and hooks, while carefully storing more colourful items out of sight…unless in a shade of blood red..!

Bedtime stories will never be the same again.
