Welcome to our gallery page, here you will find images of children's rooms that Dreams and Wishes has been involved with.
What to do with two young boys when they stay at Grand dad's? Dreams and Wishes was asked to help design a small bedroom space in a 1930's bungalow located near the coast. The room was to be used at weekends and school holidays.
 before
Firstly, all the old furniture was removed and the dull, cold blue walls were painted white before a feature wall was created using Cath Kidston 'Boats' wallpaper. The flooring was in great condition, so no changes made there.
The bunk beds, from Ikea, were painted white and fitted around the skirting, using blocks, to allow more space in the room, and simple storage was created using a retro office cabinet, again, painted white.
Finally, white wooden slatted blinds at the window finish the design.

The parents of this five-year-old, (going on twenty-five), wanted a girly princess feel for their daughter's bedroom...however, their daughter had other ideas!
Most of the furnishings and accessories were found within the house after an impromtu 'treasure hunt' by Dreams and Wishes... with substantial help from the intended occupant.

The only decorating to be done was a coat of soft pink paint on the walls and a gingham trim for the curtains Then the room was dressed with all the treasure hunt 'finds'.
The result?...A not too girly feel for a happy little girl, and contented parents.
